These are the next evolution of LED lighting. These are great for the outside porch lights where you don’t want to leave your light on all day / night. These LED bulbs fit in your standard socket and are motion activated. What makes these better then your usual motion activated lights is the day / night sensor. They only go on at night. Pretty cool bulbs and now we have light every time we walk up to the front door at night. It looks like somebody is in the house turning on the light for you.

I bought these for outdoor for security. Now I really like the fact they turn on an illuminated everything as I move through the yard. I installed these into a dual brinks fixture that did not have a motion sensor and ran an extension cord to an outlet. Couple of things. One they do stay on when you are moving the area most of the time, if they do turn off, it isn’t long before they come back on. The second thing to note about this brand, the first light that comes on does not cancel the second light from coming on, they both will light up if both are triggered. Another build I tried did not do this, so when the both come on, it is plenty of light. They are sensitive at about starting about 30 feet away on cooler evenings. They stay on about a minute, which is perfect and do not have many false alarms. They will pick up cats and raccoons, which may be some of the false alarms I have checked out, but have not seen the critters.

My wife and I have lived in a small studio apartment for several years. We have one main, walk-in closet that we use for all of our clothing (except coats) and many other belongings. As we frequently need to enter/exit the walk-in closet, I decided to give these motion sensor light bulbs a try. Here are our thoughts:
• Size: The bulbs are standard size, with a small bump at the head of the bulk for the PIR motion sensor. Note that these bulbs are made of plastic, which makes it look slightly less classy but is perhaps safer.
• Effectiveness: We tested this in a variety of different environments (i.e. combinations where surrounding lights were on/off, walking in and out of the closet, and daytime vs nighttime. In each case, the sensor worked flawlessly. During testing, it consistently took about 2 seconds for the light to automatically turn on, and about 30-45 seconds for the bulb to automatically turn off.
• Brightness: The attached picture gives you a sense of the brightness. Despite these being only 9W, these are very bright (perhaps even a little too bright for my closet). Given that these bulbs must be completely exposed (i.e. no lamp cover) in order for the motion sensor to work, the 9W will be the better option over the 15W bulbs in most instances.
In summary, I really like these motion sensor light bulbs and expect to use these for my walk-in closet going forward. These are a great value for LED motion sensor bulbs and I will certainly look to purchase more after we move into a bigger home.
